International design awards
Founded in 2007 and now in its 20th edition, the GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Awards recognize firms, architects, designers and manufacturers from around the world for the excellence of their work. Every entry is evaluated by an international jury of more than 120 experts, and winners are celebrated at galas in Québec City and Montréal.
Presented by INT.DESIGN, the competition is open to professionals worldwide. A distinction brings you visibility, credibility and international reach.
An independent distinction. A lasting competitive edge.
Who can enter
Every discipline. Every scale. Established firms, emerging practices, manufacturers, developers and students from around the world can enter in 8 disciplines: architecture, interior design, construction and real estate, landscape and territories, lighting design, product design, communication and branding, and art and photography.
Two programs complete the competition: Firms & Studios and Student. Projects completed within the past 3 years are eligible (5 years for urban design and landscape projects).
Register in minutes. Submit until May 1, 2027.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to enter?
Fees range from $290 to $450 per entry for professionals, $185 to $235 for Art & Photography projects and Special Awards, and $75 to $125 for students: the earlier you register, the lower the fee. Additional categories for the same project are 50% off, and additional projects 20% off. Fees are in USD internationally and in CAD in Canada, plus applicable taxes for Canadian residents. See all entry fees and deadlines.
Who can enter?
Architects, designers, engineers, manufacturers, developers, contractors and students from anywhere in the world. You do not need to be based in Canada. Manufacturers can enter their own products, and clients and developers can enter the projects they commissioned, as long as they credit the architect or designer. Post-secondary students compete in a dedicated Student program, and the Firms & Studios program recognizes the overall work of a firm.
Which projects are eligible?
Projects completed within the past 3 years (5 years for urban design and landscape) and products on the market. Projects under construction, unbuilt projects and prototypes are eligible in the concept categories. Projects already awarded or published elsewhere are welcome.
Can I enter the same project in several categories?
Yes, in as many categories as you like, with 50% off each additional category in the same discipline. A project can win in each category entered.
How are entries judged?
Online, by an international jury of 120+ experts who score each entry out of 100 using our evaluation criteria. Projects scoring 60 points or more receive a Bronze, Silver or Gold certification, and Gold projects are finalists for Grand Winner and Award of the Year.
What do winners receive?
Certified projects receive a certificate, a lifetime licence to use their certification logo and a dedicated page. Grand Winners, Awards of the Year and People’s Choice Award winners also receive a trophy, and Grand Winners and Awards of the Year are featured in INT.DESIGN magazine. Everything is included in the entry fee: there are no fees after results are announced. See award accolades.
What if my project doesn’t win?
Every entry is published free of charge on the INT.DESIGN GET INSPIRED search engine, with your firm’s contact information. Every entry also includes a one-year subscription to INT.DESIGN magazine.
When are the results announced?
Certifications are announced online in August 2027. Grand Winners are revealed at the galas: October 21, 2027 in Québec City and November 2027 in Montréal.
The GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Awards bring together the industry’s most respected brands and organizations.
