One Madison is an elegant new office tower at the crossroads of Madison Avenue and 23rd Street, overlooking Madison Square Park and adjacent to the landmark Metropolitan Life Insurance tower with its iconic clock face. KPF has redesigned the existing mid-century One Madison limestone podium and added a glazed tower with expansive views and multiple terraces. SL Green commissioned Rockwell Group to design the ground floor restaurant, La Tête d’Or helmed by Michelin-starred Chef Daniel Boulud. The restaurant is open to the public, while also servicing the tenants of the office tower above. Rockwell Group’s scope also includes the 28th floor rooftop event space and outdoor terrace with F&B programming by Chef Boulud.
One Madison’s signature restaurant, La Tête d’Or, was inspired by the delicate art of classic French brasseries and exceptional service. The restaurant honors Boulud’s upbringing in Lyon, which is also home to one of France’s largest urban parks, Tête d’Or. Celebrating the heritage and theatricality of the wood-burning grill, an open kitchen showcases the mastery of Boulud’s techniques in a series of five vibrant spaces with a palette of rich blues, mirrors, dark marble, and wood and leather paneling.
