Prem Kumar

Prem Kumar is the Specification Sales Manager and the Architectural Product Lead for Canada at Current Lighting. Lighting Certified (LC) since 2007, Prem has been actively involved with the Toronto Section of the IES for over 20 years during which time he has been on the Executive Board as Treasurer, Vice-President, President, Past President and now a Board Manager. Prem has been a Merit Judge for the IES Illumination Awards that honors creativity, technical excellence and professionalism in lighting design. Until recently Prem was an Advisory Member of the now defunct IES Light Sources Technical Committee that was responsible for researching and developing best practices for evaluating and selecting light sources and systems. By education Prem is an Electrical Engineer.
