A: Yes. If the project or product is always admissible to other conditions, you may submit it again. We encourage you to add updated data when available.
Can I submit my project/product again this year if it was awarded a GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN last year?
A: Yes. If your project or product has been modified since winning, it is again admissible to the contest.
Can I submit a project/product that has already been awarded by another contest?
A: Yes. You can submit projects/products that have been entered and/or awarded by other contests.
Can I submit a project/product even though it is already online on my Website or must it be an exclusivity?
A: You may submit a project or product already online. Our admission conditions do not limit you to submit in regard to its visibility status. You may submit projects or products showcased, showed online, printed, or published on any type of support.
Must my project/product be designed or made in Canada to be eligible?
A: No. Our contest is open to projects and products designed and made anywhere around the World.
What kind of projects/products can be submitted to the contest?
A: All types of projects in architecture, interior design, construction, real estate development, urban design, landscape architecture, industrial design, product design, communication, branding, art and photography can be submitted to the contest.

A: Projects must have been completed in the past three (3) years, or five (5) years in regard to urban design, landscape architecture and landscaping projects to be eligible.
Is a client discharge approval mandatory to submit a project or product?
A: Client approval is generally recommended when entering a professional competition. In most cases, small customers will be thrilled to receive an award. As per larger institutions, bigger brands and multinationals, certain bureaucratic processes could limit your participation. We therefore recommend notifying customers. In our experience, several large customers will not only encourage designers to participate, they will also cover the registration fees. A rewarded project/product gives interesting visibility to both the customer and designer. In summary, seeking client approval is recommended, yet not required. It is however imperative that, in the event of the project/product being awarded, the designers have had publication rights released.

SELECTION PROCESS
How are entries reviewed?
Entries are evaluated by an expert jury of design luminaries. Experienced international designers, architects, professors, entrepreneurs, and media will use their know-how, experience, specialization, and technical knowledge to judge and evaluate the excellence of the products and projects assigned to them randomly to ensure an impartial and fair judgement.
The judging process will occur online and is based on a point system (1-100), judging a series of criteria that are constantly updated and adapted to current professional standards and practices. Each project or product will be judged on its own attributes.
What criteria are the jury members looking at and evaluating?
See the judging criteria.
Is judging anonymous?
Today’s Web makes it way easy to find, in a google search and a click, who’s behind any given project. Anonymity may therefore not be guaranteed. The submitting firm’s identity will hence be shared with jury members.
May I retrieve the jury’s comments and grade of my project or product?
The large number of entries restrains us from transmitting jury comments and notes to participants. As per winning entries featured in the GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Award special edition of INTÉRIEURS magazine, a selection of jury comments will be included in the content.
Who are the jury members?
Our international list of jury members is comprised of appraised architecture and interior design professionals, real-estate promoters, technology, and manufacturing industry leaders, as well as prominent journalists, academics, artists, and renowned free-thinkers of apparent industries.
