YOKU SH: WELLBEING AND HEAT, THE ART OF FOREST BATHING IN YOUR OWN HOME
Yoku SH is a sauna+hammam system whose name, and inspiration, comes from a particular branch of Japanese natural medicine called shinrin-yoku, or “forest bathing”, that espouses the principle that immersing ourselves in nature can have surprising benefits to our health.
The key features of the Yoku SH system are the large glass wall in 8mm bronze smoked glass along the front and the vertical elements in natural wood which create the feeling of being outdoors, in the middle of a forest, bringing elegance and privacy to the heat experience.
In the Yoku SH Shelf version, the front becomes a large open “bookcase” with pickled steel shelving. It acts as a natural filter and holds objects, books and fabrics, creating a highly personalized look and connecting with the spa surroundings.
In the Yoku SH Door version, the front becomes a large glass panel with a solid wood door and handle that runs full height.
Yoku SH Glass version is flooded with light thanks to the large glass panels. This model in the SH collection has no vertical shelving elements but a double glass door and takes the feeling of transparency to new heights.
Another innovation is the heater, which is built into the lower bench of the sauna, blending the traditional technology in seamlessly while accentuating the clean, stylish proportions of the interior with its vertical + horizontal elements that heighten the relaxing effect of the experience.
