Key element of the new industrial park, due to its visibility from a major road, the new plant offers a technological showcase presenting the values of Soprema and the dynamism of the city of Sherbrooke.
The industrial building is distinguished by the use of distinctive materials and careful volumetric work, in particular a cantilevered office volume, unhooks, projections and skylights with translucent coverings. A large volume settles with transparently to allow readability facades of the company's robotic industrial processes. Opening sections provide natural ventilation in the plant's production line section and punctuate the facade. A continuous curtain wall at ground rythm the facade and accentuate the lightness of the main volume. It extends to the south-west as cantilever over the administrative suite in order to highlight the company’s identity and cover the building’s main entrance. The human-scale presence of the administrative sector is underlined by a wood covering to suggest an enveloping and warm presence.
The building fits into Soprema’s brand image, appearing now as a corporate showcase, putting forward his philosophy.
