GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 12th edition
Tholos is a funeral home located in Huntingville, nestled in the heart of the forest, overlooking the Rivière au Saumon. The concept: a unique and peaceful site.
Inspired by the tholos tombs, monumental circular constructions of ancient Greece, the centre is made up of architectural symbols borrowed from ancient temples.
The space is designed for contemporary needs and plunges us into ancient sacred rites we can identify with. The funeral ceremony can be carried out while allowing for all to be left free in their emotional response.
