“TenGu”, by Jonathän Jouan Studios, is an office inspired by the Yokai, strange creatures of Japanese folklore.
Originally designed for small interiors, "TenGu" is a modular desk that mounts directly to the wall to take up as little space as possible. It finds its modularity in its fan-shaped top which is fixed with a simple screw on a support in the structure. Its rotating mechanism transforms the decorative object into two dimensions, into a three-dimensional space giving the impression of floating.
Its unique tray is adorned with straw marquetry with feather patterns. This material offers a slight relief to the touch to bring a sensitive dimension during its use. In the light, this material reflects new nuances and colors with each look. This tray is supported by a sturdy solid wood frame in white oak, the color of which will deepen over time.
"Tengu" is a piece of furniture combining art and design. It is designed to last over time and evolve alongside its owners over the years and thus be passed on to subsequent generations.
