The Montreal FinTech Station is an incubator and co-working space for Canadian Fintech (financial technologies) start-ups. Located at 4 Place Ville Marie, the FinTech Station offers a clever combination of workspaces and meeting areas, as well as gathering and lounging zones, that tenants can take pride in making their own.
At the FinTech Station, a little over 140 workstations are available, all of which benefit from a variety of amenities on premises. A shared reception service greets visitors walking in, and offers administrative assistance for the tenants. Start-ups have the option of renting individual or clustered workstations located in a shared open space, as well as closed offices for more privacy.
A variety of meeting rooms is also available to them, as well as a large cafeteria and lounge areas.
The designers imagined an immersive, stimulating, and comfortable environment, where different but complementary forces are brought together to work in collaboration and build upon new connections. The aim was to draw upon the contrast between virtuality (technology) and reality (physical space). In a context where technology occupies a preponderant role, the proposed concept transcends the trend towards hyperconnectivity. Vast open spaces flooded with daylight and greenery promote wellness and help the spirit of community to come to life naturally.
