Station 41, designed by Burhötel-Yul, is a coworking space that suggests a layout inspired by the train stations. It introduces movement, surprise and diversity that give the space a unique personality.
There is a thought out contrast between the lower and upper levels. On level 41, the area presents a more open floor plan, making it brighter and encourages socialization and sharing of customers. Conversely, level 40 depicts a more intimate and closed atmosphere that encourages individualistic behavior with its private offices. The expression « two rooms, two atmospheres » is perceptible in this project, but we still find a consistent unity thanks to the colors tones and materials.
The challenge was the central element, the curve that cuts through the space. It defines the personality of the area and responds to the need for flexibility and movement of the current generation. The objective was to design a place conducive to the users well-being, but above all, a space that is inspiring, pleasant, intriguing, functional, refreshing and reflects the values of our time.
As Mohsen Ben Hadj Salem says, « The station often becomes a paradoxical place both closed and open, a realistic theatre where destiny can act in the most unexpected way, one of the privileged spaces of the performance. »
