GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 14th edition
Discipline : Interior Design
Categories : Office / Office > 54,000 sq.ft. (> 5,000 sq. m.) : Silver Certification
With a rich heritage of values rooted in family, respect, but also trust and teamwork, Cogeco created a brand-new design based on these pillars for its headquarters.
The project aimed to relocate the different entities of the organization in a newly design work environment. The offices are in six quadrants on the 33rd and 34th floors of Place Ville-Marie. The design, which was once compartmentalized and dark has been transformed into agile, modern, flexible, and dynamic work areas where light is accessible to all.
This new vision is also reflected in a multitude of state-of-the-art meeting spaces. Collaboration areas include "meeting booth" and coffee zones which provide more comfortable spaces for interaction between employees. The space is articulated around the central staircase, from the reception to the collaborative coffee area. Each of the quadrants have a different color, providing a unique personality to the spaces and allowing employees to find their way through the different zones.
The local and Canadian heritage of the Cogeco brand is echoed in the grooved wood walls, which not only bring a biophilic touch to the space, but also evoke the tradition and warmth of the great Quebec winters in the depths of our chalets. The family, a central theme at Cogeco, takes root through a central tree around which the staircase forms a ribbon that connects the two levels.
