The Biodôme's furniture series, composed of a family of linear benches, another of circular benches, and two reception counters, is scattered throughout the public spaces of the natural science museum. This institutional furniture with a neutral color palette encourages visitors to pause and appreciate the architecture, both new and old, and to stop and reflect between ecosystems. Composed of a pure materiality: Montreal ash and painted steel, this series reflects a simple and elegant design. The benches, like the counters, have been meticulously designed to reveal their refined lines. The linear furniture, in harmony with the circular family, is intended to allow visitors to rest occasionally during their visit. The circular family is designed to offer visitors the opportunity to take a longer break. The large diameter of the circular family is designed to encourage users to lie down and admire the skylights revealed by the Biodome's renovation, while the charging stations integrated on the sides allow users to charge their electronic devices and use the mobile application developed by Espace pour la Vie. In both the circular and linear families, the benches vary in height to accommodate all types of visitors. The lower ones are more comfortable for children, and the higher ones are more adapted to adults.
