Renovation of the kitchen of an old residence built in 1910, in a contemporary style: the client wishes to open his kitchen to the adjacent area, increase storage and have a larger and brighter living space.
The presence of the column at the external corner of the kitchen could have been a hitch, but
the white quartz countertop fits perfectly. It occupies the entire side of the kitchen overlooking the dining room as well as the backyard. It encourages conviviality and conversation at all times: with today's lifestyle, cooking is no longer an activity that takes place in a closed space. The backsplash, also made of quartz, creates unity in the surface finishes and provides exceptional light.
Elegant bar stools in brushed steel and blue leather form a beautiful accent in this all-white kitchen, echoing the navy blue of the appliance unit.
Simple lines of the contemporary interior elements in the kitchen enhance the roughness of the old original brick wall facing it. The opening of the kitchen to the living/dining area, the raised ceiling, the light-coloured paint and the multiplication of light sources have completely changed the space, it seems larger. Custom furniture was created in a glossy finish for most of the cabinets and in a matte navy blue color for the appliance unit, giving a beautiful bold blue to this bright and white space.
