A revitalization of an outdated space, the objective of this project was to transform Rogers’s existing office to better utilize their space, while also empowering employees and addressing their wellbeing. In response to the client directive to modernize the Montreal Headquarters, the design team worked together to bring new life into the office by creating a space that gives employees agency, creates a sense of community, and promotes health and wellness.
The design team injected wellness into the space by incorporating many unique and innovative approaches. Working with the landlord, exterior windows were upgraded, removing large expanses of solid concrete to allow for more daylight to illuminate the office. All open area workstations are equipped with sit-to-stand desks and ergonomic seating. An activity-based work style was adopted to give employees choice on how and where they conduct their work each day. The new space also includes a large cafeteria that can be used for meetings, eating and collaboration. The office offers a large variety of focus, collaborative and amenity spaces.
Employees have gained a healthy work environment, and the Rogers Corporate Real Estate team was able to consolidate space and reduce the overall leased space from 2.5 to 1.5 floors.
