GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 17th edition
Discipline : Landscape & Territories
Categories : Urban Design / Civic Design Project : Bronze Certification
The new place to visit on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, Structure Bonjour invites visitors to soak up the city’s warm, welcoming atmosphere. In perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape, the front of these giant letters are designed on a human scale and composed of ash wood from Montreal’s woodlands, while the back features a mirror effect, resulting from a varnishing technique that makes the steel relfect the skyline of the city. This combination creates an exceptional visual experience that visitors will enjoy immortalizing it as a souvenir of their stay in Montreal.
