GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 14th edition
Discipline : Interior Design : Grand Winner Int'l
Categories : Commercial Space / Commercial Space > 5,400 sq.ft. (> 500 sq.m.)
The brand-new store, located in the heart of Toronto's Design District, offers a creative shopping experience transformed by design and showcases Mobilia's modern furniture.
From the entrance, a long black architectural structure runs along the central aisle and divides the space to create a distinctive and theatrical environment with Italian-style perspective scenes. The play of angles serves as an entrance to the 4 Mobilia style worlds of Wow, Natural, Euro and Spontaneous, four distinct zones in which one can freely navigate.
In the center is an astonishing angular structure; a house that gives the effect of a pop-up shop which also represents the Mobilia logo. It offers different themes according to the current inspiration: a range of new products, the current trend or a capsule collection. A space always in motion, whose mission is to inspire visitors.
On the other side, a large white carrera marble counter has been set up to facilitate discussion and exchanges between design consultants and clients. With its sinuous shape, this piece of furniture becomes an area where samples are displayed for the purchase of custom-made items. Computers are also made available to everyone to access the company's website. The whole is surrounded by inspiring galleries of accessories and a luminous work of art created according to the image of the Mobilia brand.
