Lignum Vitae is a multifunctional space located in the city of Cagliari, destined to host events and a main place for the creation of encounters and the development of multicultural social life.
The project comes from the idea of the tree as a source and promoter of life. The interior design takes the natural organic forms, avoiding angular and rigid shapes, creating a warm and comfortable environment.
The different areas are always in visual contact with each other through an open space, identified with a series of curvilinear shapes, soft leaf-walls, allow the creation of sinuous paths that cross and touch them, giving the perception of a continuum stimulating space and never dull.
The pillar from simple rigid structural elements, through the juxtaposition of wooden slats, become column-tree, like the curved shapes of the leaf-walls, become an icon of the project. The light rises up from the bottom of the pavement through a frozen glass, highlighting it. With this choice, the presence of columns in the centre of an open space has been transformed into a strong point characterizing it.
Colors identify the different parts, characterized by cold colors in the services areas and warm colors in the lived spaces.
Inside we find different thematic areas, such as the conference area, the children's playground, an area dedicated to show cooking and a comfort zone for relaxation and conviviality, all able to adapt and absorb areas dedicated to the world of contemporary work.
