The Borduas project was practically completed when we arrived on site. The client does not like the design of the previous designer, he asks us to find a solution to create a ‘’ WOW FACTOR ’with a unique signature at a lower cost. We had to keep the choices already established and ensure that the entire common spaces project were redesigned, with a budget of less than $ 35,000 for the entire building. In short, we had to find THE mirage solution to the project without demolishing.
We therefore decided to work on the project under the inspiration of the colors of Paul-Émile Borduas in reference to the name of the building “Le Borduas”. We therefore priced our rulers and stepladders to draw angles directly in the corridors in order to resize the lengths and ensure that these corridors are more dynamic and allow a new experience.
