GMEC is a lighting solutions manufacturer that provides advanced LED fixtures to designers and architects. Dialogue 38 was engaged to provide GMEC with office and showroom space that was designed specifically to meet the demands of its discerning clientele and their unique professional requirements.
The design features took into account the need to assess the quality of light; the colour of the light; the distribution of light and the kinds of activities with which the lighting engages.
Specifically in the showroom area, the design incorporated a number of discrete showcases that allow for the individual properties of the light fixture and its quality of light to be assessed. These discrete showcases provide a contained area in which each individual fixture can be appreciated independently from the influence of other fixtures. The showcases themselves evoke the sense of a museum or gallery that houses precious objects which is consistent with the underlying philosophy of GMEC and their commitment to excellence.
The reception, meeting room and office areas are all installed with GMEC fixtures to further showcase the various fixtures, their properties and applications.
