The waterfront residence located on the edge of the Richelieu boasted one of the most beautiful views on its territory! But who says riparian strip says riparian zone and restrictions. In order for the location of the house to benefit from the interior light desired by clients, its positioning in the yard no longer left much backyard available for the various spaces requested. The huge infinity pool, the different levels of doors opening onto the backyard, the multiple terraces as well as the drop of more than 15 feet in the backyard represented a major design challenge! In order to be able to place the swimming pool in the available space, it was positioned directly on the allowed limit of 10m distance from the riparian zone. The swimming pool level also served as a centerpiece to create an intermediate access between the garden level and the ground floor. The main TREX patio also had to be placed at an angle with the swimming pool to continue to follow the required distance of clearance from the riparian strip.
