GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 14th edition
Discipline : Architecture
Categories : Commercial Building / Mixed-Use Building : Silver Certification
Categories : Special Award / LEED Project & WELL Project in Architecture
The Zibi project, the first carbon-neutral community in Canada, welcomes its first mixed-use real estate project: the O complex. Stemming from the ideology of a socially responsible architectural project, the O complex derives its name from the word “water” because of the breathtaking view it offers its users of the Ottawa River and Chaudière Falls. More than just a residential tower, O also includes commercial areas on the ground floor and subscribes to the ten principles of One Planet Living. Located where Domtar's formerly disused factory once stood, Complex O meets the rigorous standards for LEED Gold certification.
