The two-times awarded project illustrates the quality of Taktik design’s approach for Chaussures Petit Roy. Walking into this store is like opening the door to a world full of poetry, a space where commercial functions leave a lot of room for imagination and amuse- ment. Show me a child who doesn’t want to buy shoes anymore!
The designers have jumped with both feet into the childlike uni- verse, while adopting an elegant aesthetic that permeates all aspects of the project. Elements inspired by the natural world are not lack- ing, and even form the visual signature of the business, whether it is through graphic decorations or accessories evoking mushrooms, rocks, nests in the trees. Different sections divide young people by age or interest. The shoes are tidy and even creatively presented, but there is still plenty of space for kids to enjoy the well-loved freedom they rarely ask for. In this way, the project fully respects its clientele, and invites it into a world where it can only be fulfilled.
