Casa Bosque Verde, located in Valle de Bravo, is a residential project designed as a weekend retreat in a prestigious residential complex known for its vast green areas and coniferous forests. The architecture of the house incorporates principles of Nordic architecture, with a contemporary interpretation in the distribution and proportion of volumes.
The house consists of two main rectangular volumes with gabled roofs intersecting, joined by a smaller third volume. Materials used include gray quarry stone on extensive walls and sloping roofs, and oak paneling on shorter walls, complemented by black steel lintels. The secondary volume, with large windows and a wooden main door, houses the home’s circulation core.
The ground floor terrace extends towards the garden, connecting to the kitchen via floor-to-ceiling windows and maintaining continuity with the natural stone tile flooring. A roof with anti-reflective film and a wooden lattice reduces solar incidence.
The interiors merge with the exterior through windows that frame landscape views. Materials such as ceramic tile, polished concrete, and details in wood and walnut veneer stand out inside, seeking chromatic harmony with the exterior and adding functionality and durability. The selection of natural and sustainable textiles like cotton and linen emphasizes the connection with nature.
On the upper floor, oak wood takes center stage, complemented by directed lighting that creates a warm atmosphere. The collaboration between Cintra Arquitectura and Nogalya ensured meticulous attention to every detail of the project, which was conceived and executed under the turnkey model.
Casa Bosque Verde prioritizes integration with the natural environment, using materials that reflect a visual cohesion between the interior and exterior, and windows that strengthen the connection with the surrounding landscape. The Nordic influence is reflected in the distribution of the volumes and in the gabled roofs, adapted to the environment of Valle de Bravo.
