The project of the Caisse du Plateau-Mont-Royal consisted in a first part of completely reviewing the current service as well as the consulting service on the ground floor, reviewing the advice areas on the first floor and updating the finishes of the third. floor. The second component aimed to establish an "eco-social" and "energy-efficient" roof terrace. Our firm worked in collaboration with the specialists in sustainable development retained by Desjardins. The particularity of the first part resided in the difficulty of securing spaces of different vocation in a space on the ground floor which is quite modest and of a height. low ceiling. The meeting area, near the reception, had to be fun, colorful and relaxed, given the "Plateau" clientele. Our design made it possible to create felted spaces through the use of recycled felt-type materials applied to the walls in order to control sound reverberation. A stretched canvas was used on the ceiling giving the space a virtual height and a grandiose feel. The whole set up so as to keep a visual breakthrough on the fenestrated side overlooking Avenue du Mont-Royal. In addition, the customer's eco-social concern has led us to the integration of green walls, purifying the air, evoking nature and creating a link with the urban agriculture vocation of the roof terrace.
