GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 14th edition
Discipline : Interior Design
Categories : Commercial Space / Showroom : Gold Certification
Located on the South Shore of Montreal, Boutique Lemonde is specialized in the sale of floor coverings since 1976. With the objective of renewing its image for possible franchises, TLADI was hired to create this brand new concept of showroom. TLADI was able to take up the challenge and highlight the different types of coverings by offering an open space, where neutral tones oscillating between black and white give back the spotlight to the different colors and textures of the floor coverings. TLADI wanted to move away from traditional methods by designing brand new hanging and demonstration systems and thus rethinking the very idea of exhibiting materials in a clean, organized and aesthetic way. The hanging system section being high and difficult to access, it is enhanced by a space dedicated to large visuals featuring different inspiring atmospheres and textures. The focal point is a huge multi-service counter offering the staff a view of the entire store area. Inspired by the company’s signature logo, this counter takes its shape and colors, separating the various services offered by the configuration. This central black section cuts the space into three parts, thereby creating the different departments in the store. Finally, an internal communication between the neighboring store "Armoires Cuisines Action" complements the user experience.
