DOS Design Group, an interior design brand, wanted to revamp its old office to create a more inviting open space and add an airy feeling. The original office appeal was too industrial, with open storage systems and metal constructions. Wires and other structures were too visible on the ceiling. Limited space and a monochrome color palette were restraining designers' creativity.
To save costs, reduce waste and implement materials that usually are hard to combine in the interiors, DOS used an innovative approach towards space renovation. They wrapped most of the objects with BODAQ interior film. BODAQ interior film is a vinyl film that imitates colors, texture, and tactile sensations of real materials. The interior film is a surface refinishing solution. Instead of prefabricated concrete wall panels, DOS wrapped old walls with a concrete-textured film. Instead of intricate works with wood, many objects, such as hallway rails and a coffee table, were refinished with Oak Wood. Solid black walls and a marble featured wall created a multi-color picturesque palette that facilitates creative thinking and accentuates many interior details at the same time. As a pinnacle of the multi-material environment, DOS used BODAQ interior film to create an art object – a green wall that is composed of multiple wood patterns, from dark walnut to light maple.
