GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN – 14th edition
Discipline : Construction & Real Estate Development
Categories : Real Estate Development / High-Rise Residential Development : Gold Certification
The 21e arrondissement unites two flagship Montreal neighborhoods. To the east, Old Montreal with its boutiques, cafes and gourmet restaurants. To the west, Griffintown, a vibrant neighborhood undergoing transformation bordered to the south by the Lachine Canal. It’s in this spirit that the project was conceived and created. In the heart of the 21e arrondissement, a lifestyle is offered, with food shops, cafes, bistros and caterers built around a central public square. A personalized living space as well as common areas make the 21st arrondissement much more than just a simple condo project.
The 21e arrondissements’ square is at the heart of the project. Arranged around a water fountain and composed of elements of greenery, it is warm and inviting. Surrounded by terraces, this inviting square promotes social life and impromptu encounters. Always ready to innovate, in addition to the many common spaces, the project offers an extensive green rooftop. A rooftop designed to accommodate nearly 5,000 square feet of urban agriculture. In an effort to reduce heat islands and produce locally, residents can enjoy harvests of vegetables, herbs and fruit. This initiative is part of Prével's efforts to reduce its environmental impact and promote eco-responsible behavior.
