WingLine L Folding Door System is Hettich’s folding door system designed to improve access to large format cabinetry while reducing the space required for door operation. Created for wardrobes, kitchens, offices, and utility spaces, it replaces conventional swing doors with a panoramic folding movement that delivers full cabinet access in one smooth motion.
Context
Conventional cabinet doors often compromise space and accessibility. Hinged doors require clearance and can obstruct circulation, while sliding systems limit full access by covering part of the opening.
As interiors become more compact and multifunctional, there is increasing demand for solutions that provide complete accessibility without sacrificing space, flow, or visual simplicity.
Intent
WingLine L was developed to create an experience that maximizes access, minimizes door interference, and supports contemporary design. Hettich’s objective was to combine intuitive movement with a clean exterior appearance suitable for handleless furniture. Another key intention was to deliver advanced functionality without electrical components, keeping installation simple while ensuring long-term reliability.
Solution
WingLine L is a panoramic folding door system that allows cabinet fronts to fold compactly to the side, creating a wide, unobstructed opening in a single movement.
Unlike traditional systems, it combines full accessibility with minimal door protrusion, ensuring that usable space is preserved even when open.
The system integrates:
