The Walloon Collection brings the joinery traditions of the world's finest interiors to outdoor furniture, expressed through forms that are elegant, modern, and refined. Designed by Summit co-founder Jane Sieberts, Walloon is a deliberate evolution of the principles that have defined Summit from the beginning: timeless silhouette, uncompromising craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to detail at the level of heirloom interior furniture.
The collection is sculptural before it is anything else. Organic edges flow without interruption. Corners are absent. Surfaces transition into curves through gradual, hand-finished modulations that can only be achieved by skilled makers working slowly. The geometry rewards close inspection and consistent reading from every angle, a discipline borrowed from fine cabinetry and rarely attempted at this scale in outdoor work.
Joinery is treated as visible language rather than concealed structure. Each connection is expressed with intent, allowing the construction itself to participate in the design rather than retreat behind it. The teak is Summit's own, sourced and prepared to a standard refined across decades of practice.
Comfort is approached as a design principle, not an afterthought. French seams produce cushions with a soft, pillowed presence and refined edge detail. Optional contrast stitching reinforces the architecture of each piece. Darts shape the cushions into gentle curves that complement the geometry of the frames they rest within. The result is seating that holds its form across long use and reads as considered from any vantage.
Walloon is offered as a complete vocabulary of chairs, tables, and benches developed as a single coherent family. The collection is engineered for seamless indoor-outdoor living, allowing it to move between a library, a loggia, and a terrace without shifting in character. It belongs to spaces that demand both beauty and permanence, residences where furniture is selected with the same intent as architecture, and where the difference between competent and exceptional is read on close inspection.
