Villa Evergreen – Timber Minimalism in Mont-Tremblant
Nestled in Mont-Tremblant’s forested Le Lagom community, Villa Evergreen is a seven-bedroom, seven-bathroom timber retreat that redefines contemporary chalet living. Designed by Aidos Kuzenbayev for sophisticated taste and requirements of clients and realized by luxury builder Embois, this 5350 sq. ft. residence reflects the Scandinavian principle of lagom—balance, simplicity, and harmony with nature.
Built entirely in post-and-beam Douglas fir with cedar cladding, the structure showcases craftsmanship and permanence. Inside ceilings, exterior walls and floors are wrapped in natural wood — creating a warm, immersive atmosphere. Vast floor-to-ceiling windows frame panoramic views of the Laurentians and blur the line between interior and exterior. The interiors are refined yet minimalist, with neutral tones and tactile materials like wood, glass and crushed stone allowing the timber architecture to shine.
The kitchen is a centerpiece for gathering, combining elegance with function. A large island of sintered stone anchors the open-concept layout, with Gaggenau appliances and custom cabinetry blending seamlessly into the design. The adjacent butler’s pantry adds functionality without disrupting flow. Designed with chefs and families in mind, it’s a space that’s equally suited for entertaining and everyday living.
Each bathroom is a spa-like retreat, featuring frameless glass showers, deep soaking tubs, heated floors, and ambient lighting. Materials echo the home’s natural palette—wood, stone, and soft neutral tones. Panoramic view outdoor sauna, hot tub and private indoor pool extend the wellness experience year-round. Even in bathing spaces, expansive windows offer direct views of the forest, making nature part of the daily ritual.
Villa Evergreen balances rustic charm with modern luxury. From the cathedral ceilings and modern fireplace to the serene bathrooms and ergonomic kitchen, the design is intentional and refined. It’s a place where form, function, and nature align—offering a sanctuary of understated elegance in the heart of Quebec’s alpine landscape.
