Information Kiosk for Tourisme Montréal – A design experience anchored in the city's identity
The kiosk project for Tourisme Montréal combines functionality, innovation, and aesthetics, echoing the identity of a city recognized as a UNESCO design metropolis. Conceived as a mobile and multifunctional structure, this kiosk aims to provide visitors with an initial sensory and cultural connection.
An immersive design, inspired by Montréal
The contemporary and streamlined shape of the kiosk reflects Montréal’s architecture while highlighting its mobility and modularity. The diagonal feature – Tourisme Montréal’s visual signature – structures the kiosk's design: a strong graphic element, it evokes dynamism and fluidity, creating a direct link with the brand's image. This motif boldly traverses the structure, making the kiosk and its bench immediately recognizable.
An intuitive and inclusive experience
User experience is at the heart of the project. The space is designed to be accessible, welcoming, and fluid, with well-defined areas for information agents equipped with digital tablets. The emblematic bright red color of Tourisme Montréal is integrated through its structural components, reinforcing the visibility and visual coherence of the kiosk.
A playful sensory dimension
The iconography from the City of Montréal's Brand Guide is engraved on the wooden surfaces of the kiosk, creating a tactile and visual interaction. These pictograms illustrate the city's monuments and symbols, transforming the visit into a recognition game for both young and old, adding a playful touch to the tourist experience.
A concrete commitment to sustainable development
A renewable energy solution is integrated into the kiosk: a solar panel on the roof powers a rechargeable block concealed under the counter, providing complete energy autonomy to the information agents. This system also allows the connection of a small fan in summer, LED lighting in the evening, or offering emergency charging to visitors.
This kiosk embodies Montréal's commitment to smart, human-centered, and sustainable tourism. By combining design, technology, and environmental responsibility, it becomes much more than an information point: it is an ambassador of the Montréal spirit.
