GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN 19th edition
Distinctions
Discipline : Interior Design
Categories : Residential / Residential Amenity Spaces : Gold certification
The interior design of The Parks is envisioned as a contemporary residential environment rooted in local context, balancing refinement with approachability. Across shared amenity spaces, the design draws inspiration from the city’s architectural lineage and cultural diversity, translating these influences into a warm, modern interior language that supports community living within a high-density urban setting.
Material and colour palettes are intentionally grounded and tactile. Warm wood tones are paired with layered stone and concrete finishes, while textured wall surfaces establish a sense of permanence and authenticity. Soft neutral backdrops are accented with muted greens, deep blues, and warm metallic tones, creating visual depth while maintaining a calm, residential atmosphere. Furnishings emphasize clean lines and durable upholstery, selected to withstand high use while remaining inviting and comfortable. Lighting is carefully layered, combining architectural fixtures, decorative accents, and ambient illumination to support both social activity and moments of retreat.
Amenity spaces are organized to feel intuitive, connected, and generous, supporting a variety of daily uses. Social lounges, coworking environments, and fitness-oriented spaces are arranged to encourage movement and interaction while maintaining a sense of comfort and ease. Visual connections between spaces and a range of seating options promote flexibility and allow the amenities to adapt throughout the day.
Amenity interiors are designed to function as extensions of residents’ homes rather than conventional shared facilities. Coworking spaces offer a mix of communal tables, lounge seating, and quieter work zones to accommodate different working styles and schedules. Social areas transition naturally between active gathering spaces and more intimate settings through subtle shifts in materiality, lighting, and furniture scale. Outdoor amenity areas are treated as true rooms, with furnishings and finishes that mirror the interior palette to reinforce continuity between inside and out.
Overall, the interior design delivers a cohesive and character-driven environment that supports daily living and fosters community connection. Through thoughtful material selection, efficient planning, and a clear conceptual framework, The Parks establishes a durable interior identity that is both welcoming and enduring.
