Solar Facades — When the building envelope becomes a power station
Solyt's Solar Facades redefine the role of the architectural facade by transforming a building's envelope into a genuine photovoltaic micro-power plant, without sacrificing aesthetic expression.
A globally recognized patented innovation
Our Solar Facades are the first BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics) technology to dispense with the constraint of glass. More than 95% of buildings worldwide use non-glazed cladding; traditional BIPV was nevertheless confined to glass curtain walls and windows. Our Solar Facades break this limitation. This breakthrough has been awarded the Gold Medal at the 123rd International Exhibition of Inventions in Paris, the Gold Medal at the 76th International Exhibition in Nuremberg, and the China Patent Award.
A unique light-guiding technology
The core of the innovation lies in precise microscopic control of the econiclay coating material structure (zero carbon). This patented structure guides light unidirectionally towards the integrated photovoltaic cells, while maintaining an opaque appearance on the visible side. Result: no light pollution from reflection, 90% higher energy conversion efficiency compared to glass BIPV (at 60% transparency), and total architectural integration.
Unlimited material expressiveness
Thanks to a 3D printing process of textures and patterns on the econiclay coating, our product accurately reproduces the appearance of stone, wood, brick, or marble. Architects no longer choose between energy and aesthetics: they obtain both.
Energy and environmental performance
Each module generates up to 120 W/m² (Pmax 59.23 to 166.62 W), with module efficiency reaching 17.63%. A 1,890 m² facade thus produces nearly 24,948 kWh of clean electricity per month. The carbon footprint is equally remarkable: a 54.6% additional emission reduction compared to glass BIPV.
Durability and versatility
Lightweight (15.28 kg/m²), fire-resistant (class A), resistant to hail and winds of 2400 Pa, our Solar Facades operate from −40°C to +85°C and come with a 25-year guarantee with 80% maintained performance. They can integrate thermal insulation, soundproofing, and dynamic advertising display. Certified TÜV, CE, CB, and CQC.
Our Solar Facades do not just decorate a building: they bring it to life, enable communication, and produce energy. A new generation of smart facades, serving low-carbon architecture.
