Sir Charles Condominiums, on Saint-Charles Street in Longueuil, is the first project that aligns with the city's vision Longueuil Centre-Ville 2035; a major redevelopment project for the entire area surrounding the Longueuil-Université-de-Sherbrooke metro station.
The architecture of the tower and the design of the common areas are rooted in the parallels that can be drawn between Manhattan and Brooklyn/Williamsburg versus Montreal and Longueuil. In both cases, these are cities with a rich industrial heritage, separated by a natural barrier but connected by very strong icons in their respective landscapes: The Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges and the Jacques-Cartier bridge.
