Located in the prestigious Fontainebleau district of Blainville, this 1990s residence is experiencing new life today thanks to an ambitious transformation tailored to the needs of a large intergenerational family.
The main goal of the expansion project was to create a spacious and highly functional kitchen for a family of six, while preserving the harmony between aesthetics and practicality.
The major challenge was designing distinct spaces with ample storage, allowing everyone—young adults and parents—to engage in their culinary activities without hindrance. Each area was carefully planned to meet the family's specific needs: a welcoming breakfast nook, a dedicated meal preparation space, an optimized cooking zone, a tech corner for charging mobile devices, a large hidden pantry, and a beverage area, ideal for entertaining.
The kitchen layout offers an unobstructed view of the backyard and the sumptuous in-ground pool, a major asset for enjoying this wonderful living space.
A second major challenge for this project was finding an aesthetic that would appeal to both young adults and parents. The result is a contemporary and timeless kitchen where clean lines, noble materials, and meticulous details create a warm, elegant, and inviting atmosphere.
