Emotions expressed through colours and textures to heal the soul!
RadMel for "Radical Mel"! This self-taught painter from the Greater Montreal area advocates for a free trajectory, liberated from academic frameworks and conventional aesthetics. Her connection to creation took root in childhood, during special moments spent painting with an artist close to her mother. After starting her career in fashion design, she has been intensifying her painting practice over the past twenty years. This experience now enriches her perspective on composition, materials, volumes, and chromatic harmonies.
Wishing to work on large-scale projects (hotels, corporate, condo towers, residential), her professional experience in high-end decor as a specialist in visual presentation makes her an ideal partner for interior design projects. On special commission, she knows how to complete the desired concept and find a way to touch and resonate with clients in their new environments.
Her work is born from an instinctive need to transform emotional intensity into matter. Drips, layers, scratches, textures, rhythms, and overlays become the traces of a free and energetic gesture, guided by a search for balance between tension and movement. While she explores different formats, RadMel favors large formats, which allow her to fully deploy her energy, her freedom, and to offer the viewer an immersive experience. Her work does not seek to seduce: it aims to provoke an authentic and deeply human encounter.
Having been selected in the summer of 2026 by Galerie Lenoir to participate in The Salon Des Artistes at Marché Bonsecours and with a few openings to her credit, RadMel continues to be recognized by various stakeholders in the art field. Her work is now exhibited on the platforms of La Galerie l'Original as well as Gallea's. More events are to come!
