Discipline : Firms & Studios
Categories : Firm of the Year / Small (≈ 1 — 10) : Gold certification
At PXP, we create places at the service of people.
PXP is an integrated multidisciplinary firm that has been designing experiences and environments at the intersection of design, territory, and usage for over 25 years. Our practice combines wayfinding, signage, tactical urbanism, placemaking, and urban furniture. Founded in 1998 under the name Signature design communication, the firm will undergo a major transformation in 2024 with a structuring family succession, opening a new cycle of strategic and creative evolution.
This moment is embodied in a complete rebranding: the firm becomes PXP. This new name formalizes a clear mission: connecting People to Places, strengthening the link between communities and public spaces, transforming places into useful and memorable experiences. Over the past few years, the firm has reached an important maturity threshold, both in the complexity and scale of its projects. With a human-sized team, PXP manages mandates for municipalities, cultural institutions, tourist destinations, and private actors, ensuring continuity between design, strategy, and implementation monitoring.
Beyond projects, PXP contributes to the evolution of the design discipline by positioning spatial experience as a lever for social, economic, and territorial activation. We advocate for an approach where design becomes a tool for measurable impact on living environments. This is reflected in a diversified portfolio ranging from public space revitalization to seasonal installations, devices promoting movement, cultural interventions, and signage elements.
Many of PXP's achievements have received local and international media recognition and have been featured in several reference works, contributing to the promotion of design here. This visibility confirms the relevance of a practice rooted in real use, applied innovation, and the creation of concrete value.
Over the years, PXP has won several awards, including Grand Prix du Design and the contest for the Development of removable urban furniture elements for festivals (Réalisons Montréal, 2009, in collaboration with Morelli designers). Its current president was a finalist for the Shenzhen Design Award for Young Talents (2013) and has contributed to several panels (Azure, Hub Montréal…) in recent years, always focusing on public spaces and ways to positively transform them. In 2025-2026, PXP was supported by the School of Entrepreneurs of Quebec to develop a roadmap in Ecological Transition and affirm its commitment to the multiple current crises.
Today, PXP embodies an independent firm in full evolution: strong of 25 years of expertise, carried by a family succession and committed to designing public spaces that concretely transform how people inhabit places.
