At the heart of its performance is the Invisio optic, meticulously crafted by Lumenpulse’s in-house team to produce an exceptional wallwash effect. Light passes through a sophisticated optical system of five elements: Element (1) targets the bottom third of the wall, (2) the middle, and (3) the upper third. Element (4) uses an anidolic principle to redirect residual light, softly illuminating the topmost section at a shallow angle, while Element (5), a recessed optic positioned at a steep 45°, ensures low glare and visual comfort.
This precision-engineered design eliminates common wallwash issues such as scalloping and dark zones, providing uniform brightness from ceiling to floor. The recessed form factor hides the light source within the ceiling plane, reinforcing a minimalist architectural aesthetic.
Invisio also offers remarkable flexibility in fixture spacing. A standard 2.5 ft spacing (equal to setback) delivers outstanding uniformity and brightness. For greater efficiency, 4 ft spacing (1.6x the setback) reduces fixture counts by up to 37% while maintaining excellent uniformity with only a modest decrease in average illuminance—ideal for cost-conscious designs that still demand high-quality results.
