GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN 16th edition

Proudly standing on the rock since the 1960s, this unique residence in the Outremont neighborhood is signed by architect Roger d’Astous.
To highlight the residence’s modern architecture, the exterior design consists of clean, minimalist lines that dialogue perfectly with lush, natural-looking vegetation.Inspired by the modern approach, the redesign of the facade features a fluid play of volumes where landings and plantings follow one another. The plant palette is translated into a subtle variation of textures, shades of green foliage and white flowers.
To the rear, the fully glazed facade of the house benefits from close contact with its garden. Restored, the original pergola and its grape vine cover a huge flagstone patio. Serving as a playground, relaxation and dining area, the versatile space opens onto a free play area topped by a slope planted with flowering shrubs, vaporous grasses and perennials with successive blooms. Behind this spectacle of greenery is a discreet walkway from the top of which to admire the garden.
