Flow as Form by David Rockwell for The Rug Company stems from our fascination with icy natural environments and the beauty of water in all its dynamic forms. This collection brings a sense of nature’s stillness and fluidity to interior spaces to tell the unique story behind each rug’s inspiration. The three designs, titled Splash, Fjord, and Falls, are available in multiple colorways. All variations are designed to easily adapt into hand-knotted and hand-tufted options for high-end residential and hospitality environments, ensuring that each piece retains its intricate detailing and high-quality craftsmanship.

Fjord is a 100-knot wool rug inspired by the sculptural nature of frozen water, evocative of vast icy landscapes. Both the Flint and Frost color options use reversal of tone to enhance contrast and create a sense of fluidity within stillness.

Splash is a study of movement in 100-knot wool, using contrasting tones to underscore the interplay between calm and turbulence. Offered in two versatile colorways, Salmon and Sea, this design portrays the painterly quality of water in motion.

Falls represents the graceful, undulating patterns found in natural bodies of water. This design is made from 100-knot wool and silk. Offered in both a rectangular shape and an organic curved shape in the color Carob, Falls gracefully captures the serenity of moving water.
