In Mirabel, at the heart of the Saint-Augustin neighborhood, the Nemir school naturally integrates into its environment. Located on the edge of Pablo-Picasso Park, it extends the landscape rather than imposing itself. The preserved trees and the newly planted ones recreate the idea of an inhabited woodland, where architecture and nature coexist gently.

Light plays an essential role in this project. Oriented southwest, the classrooms benefit from generous sunshine, and the fenestration, abundant and carefully positioned, becomes a direct link to the outdoors. It frames the sights, opens the spaces, and transforms each room into an observation and discovery area.

It is this relationship between interior and exterior that I wanted to reveal through my images. At twilight, the angled window acts as a prism: it reveals the geometric lines of the gymnasium, its luminous volumes, while also showing the colors of the site and the texture of the materials. Light slides over the surfaces, reflecting in the glass, and revealing the building's porosity with its environment.

 Materials reinforce this impression of balance. Wood brings warmth and humanity, while blue metallic panels introduce a contemporary, almost playful touch. Together, they compose a welcoming architecture, designed for children, for the neighborhood, for everyday life.

Through my lens, I sought to capture this moment of transition unique to evening: when the school calms down, spaces gently illuminate, and the energy of the day is still perceptible in the silence that settles in. An architecture that breathes before resting, where every reflection, every opening, every material tells the continuity between the place and those who inhabit it.
