This architectural project stands out with a harmonious juxtaposition between heritage and modernity. On the left, a red brick building with neo-classical aesthetics embodies urban memory, with its detailed cornices, white wrought iron balconies, and symmetrical openings framed in white. The authenticity of the material and the simplicity of the lines evoke the constructions of the turn of the 20th century, affirming a warm and historical presence in the urban fabric.
In contrast, the right side of the building adopts a decidedly contemporary approach. The volumes are more streamlined, the materials lighter and smoother, playing with modern textures like vertical metal cladding and light brick. Large glass openings allow natural light to penetrate while creating a strong visual connection between the interior and exterior. The thin, linear rusted metal railings add an industrial and elegant touch, subtly echoing the metal elements of the old building.
The project acts as an urban stitching between two eras, without pastiche or abrupt rupture. It highlights the richness of heritage while meeting the demands of contemporary life. It is a transitional architecture, a narrative built into the material, respecting the memory of the places while projecting a vision anchored in the future.
