Who would choose a medical office over a day at the spa? MENDES Design sought to combine the best of both worlds in one space. The MSK Clinic Quebec, specialized in physiatric care for musculoskeletal and joint problems, often welcomes tense patients or those with mobility issues. So, why plunge them into the traditional environment of blue gowns and greenish curtains?
MENDES Design reimagined the MSK Clinic in Quebec with a sophisticated and timeless aesthetic that prioritizes both style and durability. Easy-to-maintain vinyl floors with the appearance of natural wood bring warmth and practicality to the space. The clinic was designed to evoke a spa atmosphere, with soothing colors and natural light streaming through large windows.
The staff room is designed as a calming refuge, ideal for a quick break or to unwind after a long day. Warm tones and a cozy, subdued ambiance make the kitchen and lounge a welcoming space. The offices and common areas, meanwhile, are revitalized by light tones and abundant light to energize the whole.
Despite strict health material standards, MENDES Design was able to transform this new construction into a medical clinic with a spa atmosphere, as desired by the client.
