The space agency supports here three sons who wish to pay tribute to their mother, Denise, who passed away too soon from cancer a few years ago.
Located at the entrance of the town of Shannon, the restaurant aims to be the new gathering point for small families, workers, and passing visitors. The project also aims to engage in the community life of the town. The doors will always be open for local or community events, to foster connectivity.
Chez Denise is a family snack project where one feels at home, with friendly codes and a warm atmosphere that invites nostalgia and indulgence. There are bright color schemes, neon signs, and checkered patterns that recall the retro essence of diners of the past.
The building stands out with a beige facade combining wood and brick, creating a striking contrast with the signage. The exterior wood echoed on the cathedral ceiling gives warmth and authenticity to the interior. The generous ceiling height amplifies the impression of grandeur, while the gable enhances the welcoming and residential ambiance. A corrugated silver metal cladding adds a vintage touch, evoking the iconic chrome panels of classic American diners.
Connection with the outside is maximized with large glass garage doors and abundant fenestration. The terrace, set up near the outdoor play area, offers families a friendly and secure space.
Beyond its goal of serving delicious and unpretentious dishes, Chez Denise also believes in a greater cause: contributing to advancing research for breast cancer. Over the years, events and fundraisers will be held to give back part of its profits to Cancer Canada and advance the cause.
