GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN 18th edition
Discipline : Interior Design
Categories : Residence / Real Estate Project Sales Office : Grand Winner
Nestled in Longwu, Hangzhou, this experience center is located amidst lush tea fields and rolling mountains, offering a serene, low-density luxury retreat away from the bustle of the city.
In the local dialect, “Wu” means valley, and “Longwu” refers to a valley where a Chinese dragon is said to lie hidden—a symbol of mystery and seclusion. The design draws inspiration from this cultural symbolism to create a space that is both intimate and meaningful.
The theme “Tea Gathering at the Valley” is rooted in traditional Chinese culture, where tea gatherings are elegant social events centered around tea, reflection, and shared experiences. This project reinterprets that heritage in a contemporary setting, delicately blending ancient cultural references with a modern oriental aesthetic.
The architecture emphasizes transparency and flow between indoors and outdoors, harmoniously integrating views of the surrounding tea hills with those of inner courtyards. This seamless connection between landscape and structure creates an immersive and sensorial experience for visitors.
More than just a sales office, the CHEA SINENSIS Experience Center embodies a lifestyle—an elegant, poetic gateway into the real estate development it represents. Through the richness of its setting, it invites contemplation, cultural discovery, and a projection into a refined and sustainable way of life.
