Welcome to L’Invitant, a chalet in the Laurentides designed for spending quality time with family and friends! The designer undertook the complete renovation of this magnificent property. The owners desired a modern rustic style. The white background is accented with black, wood, and different textures, which gives it a soft and welcoming feel.
Upon entering, we are drawn towards the large windows overlooking the lake. The materials were selected for their natural and durable appearance, creating an enveloping and warm atmosphere. The engineered flooring is engraved. There are two fireplaces, each displaying different textures, namely brick and concrete, to give them atmospheres unique to each room. The concrete coating was done by a local artist. Hickory wood was chosen for its warm and authentic nuances for the kitchen cabinets, the powder room, and the master bathroom. The functional kitchen with its breakfast corner, at the heart of the house, invites sharing gourmet moments with simplicity. With its white cabinets and concealed refrigerator, every detail exudes elegance and simplicity. The dark granite countertop from Quebec also brings character and authenticity to the house.
In the master suite, the rearrangement of the partitions allowed for the enlargement of the walk-in closet. The flow of the bathroom is now more fluid and harmonious thanks to the relocation of plumbing fixtures. Decorative moldings painted in beige were chosen to complete the charm of this room. To relax, there is nothing like a cozy living room, where softness and design meet in a welcoming atmosphere. Several swivel chairs are available for chatting and having fun in front of the fireplace. The materials in the powder room also continue the choices made for the rest of the house with paneled walls but with a darker color this time.
More than just a renovation, this residence now resonates with the values and aspirations of the entire family. L’Invitant: a chalet designed to celebrate life!
Enjoy your visit!
