Cambium Reusables is an innovative line of food containers designed to meet the needs of restaurants, caterers, cafeterias, festivals, cafés, and grocery stores as they transition toward a circular reuse model. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to optimize the entire reuse cycle: washing, transport, collection, traceability, and redistribution.
In a market where circular economy solutions are still rare and reusable containers are often imported from Asia, Cambium offers a local alternative—designed and manufactured in Quebec. This local production enables great flexibility, optimized quality control, and faster responsiveness to market needs, while complying with local health and regulatory standards. By reducing transportation costs and carbon footprint, this approach supports an efficient and sustainable circular economy.
The design of Cambium containers is based on a unique modular approach, allowing for easy configuration of sizes, lid types, as well as ventilation and sealing options—without the need for additional tooling. This flexibility makes it possible to tailor the product to specific client needs while optimizing the resources required for production.
Cambium can incorporate traceability technologies such as QR codes or RFID chips, facilitating management within deposit-return systems. Another major innovation is the clip-card—a tagging device that replaces stickers or direct printing. This solution ensures easy customization while preserving circularity and allowing for industrial washing and optimized end-of-life recycling.
Cambium containers are lightweight, compact, and stackable, and have been designed to showcase food, thereby enhancing the user experience.
Designed to last, adapt, and evolve, Cambium containers offer a local and scalable solution to reduce food packaging waste. Much like a BIXI for reusable containers, Cambium aims to make Quebec a model of circular innovation in the food packaging sector.
