GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN 19th edition

The Latin Quarter, emblem of Francophone Montreal, owes part of its identity to the influence of its Parisian counterpart, notably through the culture of terraces. To highlight this heritage, a visual identity inspired by Parisian awnings is deployed in urban furniture, signage, and displays, with stripes, italics, and vibrant colors. Avé l'été evokes both a greeting to the beautiful season and the presence of Latin in our everyday language. As an initiative for the pedestrianization of Saint-Denis Street, a modular furniture system extends the terraces and encourages the use of public spaces, while the greenery contributes to the comfort and friendliness of the neighborhood all summer.
