NewTechWood Canada participates in IDS Toronto 2022
Spotlight on the authentic fluted exterior cladding
Twice a year, design and architecture experts gather at the Interior Design Show in Canada to discover the new materials and products with which they will shape future trends. This year, design firm Sali Tabbachi is setting the tone for the Toronto Show by proposing to address the “New Futures.”.
NewTechWood Canada is participating in the event for the third year in a row, as a catalyst for technological advances. Back in 2020, its wall cladding stole the show from its flagship product, the Ultrashield Naturale line of products designed to create beautiful and durable decks. Exterior and interior cladding panels have since become more prominent in the manufacturer’s offerings, so NewTechWood arrives at IDS Toronto 2022 with two already popular fluted composite wood profiles.
NewTechWood currently offers four versions of wallcovering, ranging from natural chic to sleek modern. The products are offered in three colours inspired by real wood species (Ipe, Teak and Red Cedar) as well as four modern-looking tones (Antique, Silver Grey, Charcoal and Ebony).
The Norwegian Ultrachic – The fine grooves of the Norwegian design are reminiscent of the “castellation” of parapets and indentations typical of elaborate fortifications. In the photograph below, Alberta-based architecture firm DesignTwoGroup features Norwegian-style wood composite siding on the walls of a luxury property.
The Belgian modernity – The wide rectangular strips of the Belgian “castellation” model are particularly well suited to replicate a modern look or accent. In the photograph below, Toronto-based architecture firm SMPL Design features Belgian-style wood composite siding.
We obtained shots of the recent Beechwood project in Port Credit, Ontario, designed by architect David Peterson and built by Mod Life Inc. The firm chose NewTechWood’s products for its design innovation.
Since 2010, NewTechWood has been developing the ultimate alternative to ordinary wood by offering high-end Ultrashield composite wood products that appeal to design, construction and retail experts for their durability, workability and ease of maintenance. The manufacturer also participates in green initiatives in North America by recycling plastic and wood fibres, which would otherwise add at least 12,000,000 pounds of trash to landfills each year.
