Jean-Sébastien BOURDAGES

Jean Sebastien joined B+H in 2006 bringing with him his expertise in master planning, architecture and interior design across an array of sectors including mixed-use, aviation, healthcare, hospitality & education. With over 20 years of experience working on award-winning projects across all scales and geographies, Jean has collaborated with some of the world’s leading and he was instrumental in establishing B+H’s Ho Chi Minh, Dubai and Hong Kong studios. As Design Director, Asia, Jean leads B+H’s regional teams to design and deliver high-quality, contextual, and human-centered projects. Recent work includes the Shenzhen Children Hospital, Ordos International Airport, Tencent Seafront Towers Workplace Design, as well as the signature design for the Humaniti Mixed-use Tower and the Casablanca Hassan 2 Waterfront Promenade in Montreal.
As an architectural and urban thinker with a continuous concern for sustainability, social structures as well as cultural reflexivity, Jean believes the role of a designer goes beyond architecture’s definition of “making buildings” but to push themselves in the pursuit of designing spaces, cities and communities that are contextual, healthy, resilient, and most importantly, human. His holistic design approach brings the human experience and wellness to the forefront of his design solutions, while setting in place concepts of resilience, circular economy to ensure what we build today is adaptive to the future.
Born and raised in the vibrant and creative city of Montreal, Canada, Jean Sebastien is instinctually inquisitive by nature. His deep-rooted curiosity in the diversity of human experiences has led Jean to live and work in cities across North America and Asia, and now, Singapore is Jean’s home base from which to explore the world. Outside of work, Jean loves kite surfing, hiking and photography.
